Enrolled Agent
Kenneth C. Waters, EA

Biblical days of old, it was considered ungodly and wicked not to pay your debts.  Results were severe when you defaulted or failed to pay your taxes.  When you failed to pay your tax, the tax collector had authority to garnish and seize.  This included crops, property and livestock.  These items you grown to support your family and sell to support your livelihood.  In addition, you and members of your household could become servants to your creditors.  Consequently, your sentencing may include servitude to your creditor and/or imprisonment.  It was common to be tormented by guards daily for your neglect to pay your debt(s).  With the exception of physical abuse, not so off the beaten path with the IRS today, tormenting taxpayers through threatening letters of federal tax lien filing at your district court and garnishment of your employment income/wages.

The collection of taxes has evolved in time with changes in government, culture and technology.  Methods became more civil and lenient for tax debtors/borrowers. Lenders on the other hand have become more sophisticated in the course of their lending practices.

Enforcement of tax collection some will say is just as barbaric (penalizing, uncaring, senseless, unforgiving) today as it was during the ancient times.

Enrolled Agent

With more than twenty (20) years of experience as an enrolled agent, I provide tax planning, tax debt resolution services for individuals, and small business owners.  In addition, my services are available for churches and faith-based nonprofit organizations with payroll responsibilities.   Helping business owners and individual taxpayers eliminate, reduce, and avoid future IRS aggressive tax collection, is my primary goal as your trusted tax advisor.  There are many qualified preparers of income tax returns.  And then there is a small percentage who specialize in advocating or “standing in the gap” for taxpayers and business owners when it comes to tax debt resolution and representation. The IRS allow enrolled agents to work unrestricted at all administrative levels.  See my Google Page or LinkedIn profile and read what clients and accounting peers have to say.

The Treasury Department’s Circular 230, enforces the regulations and guidelines governing the practice of enrolled members.

The Internal Revenue Service recognizes the Enrolled Agent credential designation as the highest awarded from its agency.  As a federally licensed tax professional, I have technical expertise in the field of tax compliance, tax planning and tax representation.
